Education Minister Susil Premajayantha said that prompt measures will be taken to provide textbooks to students in flood-hit areas within the next two weeks.
Addressing Parliament, the Minister responded to concerns raised by MP S.M. Marikkar regarding the plight of school students in Kolonnawa and Kelanimulla areas who have lost their textbooks due to recent flooding.
“Within the next two weeks, I will be formulating a programme with the Ministry to assist the students who have lost their school textbooks to floods,” Minister Premajayantha stated.
