UD Services, an event organizing company, recently extended a helping hand to 13-year-old Yelshan Imantha, a promising Karate champion from Waga Sri Rathnasara Maha Vidyalaya, during the school’s Christmas celebrations. Yelshan had showcased remarkable skill, clinching the championship title in Kumite and securing third place in Kata.
Recognizing the challenges faced by this talented young athlete, UD Services collaborated with Monara Creations and AWAS International to provide essential equipment for his training and competitions. The generous support included a Chest Guard, complete Karate Kit, Gloves, and Shin Pads.
The initiative garnered attention during a gathering organized by the Nippon Karate Association, hosted at Kottawa Ananda Vidyalaya. In a heartening moment captured on camera, Umangani Dineshika, representing UD Services, presented the Shin Pads to Yelshan, with Sensei Denzil Perera, Karate Coach, and Principal Chaminda Amarasinghe of Rathnasara Mahavidyalaya, observing with pride and encouragement.
Through this collaborative effort, Yelshan’s journey in Karate receives a boost, enabling him to pursue his passion with greater confidence and safety.
