What if our differences could become our greatest strength? What if people from different cultures, religions and nations could come together with a shared purpose? These ideas were at the heart of the 7th Asian Integration International Conference, held on 30 October 2026 at ITC Ratnadipa, Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Held under the Borderless Asia initiative, the international conference brought together academics, researchers, industry leaders and higher education representatives from across the world. The gathering celebrated cultural diversity while providing a platform for exchanging knowledge, exploring new ideas and strengthening relationships across nations.

The conference was presented by the EIILM-Kolkata Centre for Leadership & Ethics, in association with the Asian Integration Forum, and in collaboration with Horizon Campus, Sri Lanka; SEGi University & Colleges, Malaysia; and Universitas Pancasakti Tegal, Indonesia.

Organized under the leadership of Professor (Dr.) Rama Prosad Banerjee, Chairman and Director of EIILM-Kolkata and Founder of the Asian Integration Forum, the event reflected a vision of a world where cultural differences inspire understanding rather than division, and where nations work towards a common future.

The proceedings began with a celebration of Asian identity and unity, featuring the national anthems of Sri Lanka and India, followed by “Song of Asia”, composed by Professor (Dr.) Rama Prosad Banerjee. His opening keynote set the tone for the conference, emphasizing the importance of collective consciousness, ethical leadership and harmony in addressing the challenges of a changing world.

A notable moment during the inaugural session was the international release of two books, The Mother Leader and Gita Sanchar, authored by Professor (Dr.) Rama Prosad Banerjee. The publications added a literary dimension to the gathering, reflecting themes of leadership, values and human development.

A major highlight of the conference was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Horizon Campus, Sri Lanka, and EIILM-Kolkata, India. The agreement marked an important milestone in the relationship between the two institutions, opening opportunities for academic cooperation, joint research, knowledge sharing and future educational initiatives.

Following the signing, Professor (Dr.) Sajeewanie Liyana-arachchi, Vice-Chancellor of Horizon Campus, delivered a keynote address on the theme “Winning Victory”. The inaugural programme also featured addresses by distinguished international academics and industry representatives, bringing perspectives on global relations, economic development, national identity and technological advancement.

The conference then moved into two international panel discussions that examined issues shaping the future of Asia. The first focused on managing cultural diversity within organizations, while the second explored emerging developments in business, industry and technology, including the growing influence of artificial intelligence on organizational practices and decision-making.

These discussions provided a practical perspective on the opportunities and challenges facing modern societies, highlighting the importance of adapting to change while remaining mindful of cultural and human values.

Research formed another central part of the conference, with over 90 research paper presentations across diverse disciplines, including 35 papers from Horizon Campus, Sri Lanka. The presentations covered artificial intelligence, education, business management, biotechnology, sustainability, social sciences and technological innovation, reflecting the wide range of interests represented at the gathering.

The research sessions extended beyond theoretical discussions, examining issues with direct relevance to industries, communities and everyday life. From emerging technologies and environmental concerns to educational development and organizational change, the presentations demonstrated how academic inquiry can contribute to understanding and addressing contemporary challenges.

For Horizon Campus, the strong participation of its researchers marked a significant contribution to the international conference and reflected the institution’s continued emphasis on building a research-driven academic culture.

Mother Leader Book Launch

The conference concluded with the certificate distribution and an opportunity for participants to interact beyond the formal sessions. These final moments brought together individuals from different professional and cultural backgrounds, reflecting the spirit of the Borderless Asia initiative.

The successful collaboration between EIILM-Kolkata, Horizon Campus and their international partners demonstrated the valuable role of higher education in creating opportunities that extend beyond national boundaries.

The 7th Asian Integration International Conference carried a message far beyond its academic programme: a more connected world begins with the willingness to understand one another. By embracing differences, sharing knowledge and working towards common goals, nations can turn diversity into a source of strength and build a future shaped by cooperation rather than division.
