Nishan Sembacuttiaratchy – CEO, Colombo International Campus

Colombo International Campus (CIC) is delighted to announce the appointment of Nishan Sembacuttiaratchy as its new Chief Executive Officer. His appointment marks a significant milestone in CIC’s journey to becoming a premier regional hub for world-class higher education.

With over two decades of experience in information technology, management, higher education leadership, and organisational strategy, Nishan is widely respected for his ability to combine academic vision with business acumen.

A Distinguished Career:
Nishan most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of ESOFT Metro Campus, where he led transformative initiatives that elevated the institution’s academic standing and international partnerships. His career path has seen him excel as Webmaster, Team Leader, Project Manager, Senior Manager, General Manager, CEO, and Director across diverse technology and education environments, having started his career in software development with a focus on internet and web technologies.

Academic & Professional Credentials:
He holds a BSc (Hons) in Computing and Information Systems from London Metropolitan University (UK) and an MSc in IT from Charles Sturt University (Australia). Nishan is a Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS) and a member of the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) affirming his standing as both an academic and industry leader.

Educator and Mentor:
 Beyond his corporate roles, Nishan has lectured extensively for undergraduate and postgraduate programs and supervised student projects, equipping students with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in today’s competitive digital economy.
