Unleashing Global Educational Opportunities: The Australian Education Roadshow for Sri Lankan Families

For many parents, sending their children to higher education abroad is a major milestone and an investment in their future. The opportunity for students to access world-class education, diverse academic programs, and promising career paths is truly invaluable.

A degree from an internationally recognized institution not only enhances a student’s career prospects, but also enriches their life experience. Exposure to new cultures and perspectives helps young adults grow in ways that can shape their future.

In Sri Lanka, Jeewa Education Group plays a crucial role in facilitating this journey for aspiring students. The organization has been instrumental in helping countless people realize their dream of studying abroad. From choosing the right university and program to managing the visa application process, Jeewa Education ensures that students and their families receive comprehensive support throughout their educational journey.

Recently, Lakshani Aponsu, Business Development Manager at Jeewa Education Group, shared insights with the Eduwire on how the organization is changing the educational landscape for Sri Lankan students and their families.

Can you give us an overview of Jeewa Education Group?

Jeewa Education Group is a leading education consultancy in Sri Lanka dedicated to helping families help their children achieve international academic goals. Founded in 2003, we bring nearly two decades of experience to the field. Our partnerships with top universities in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Canada provide local students with convenient access to world-class education. We have four branches in Sri Lanka (Panadura, Battaramulla, Kandy and Matara) and three branches in Australia (Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth) to ensure ongoing support for students throughout their studies.

How do you support students and their families during the study abroad process?

We provide comprehensive educational and career guidance services tailored to the needs of each student. The process begins with a personal consultation to help families choose the most suitable country and university based on the student’s interests and qualifications. We then manage the entire admissions and visa application process and provide these services to families free of charge. Our goal is to ensure that students meet academic and financial requirements while receiving guidance every step of the way.

What is your success rate in obtaining a student visa?

We are proud of our 99% visa success rate as we carefully consider each student’s academic and financial situation before applying. If students meet the required criteria, we will be confident in obtaining both admission and a visa for them.

However, challenges may arise, such as: B. if students do not meet the English language proficiency standards. To combat this, we offer tailored IELTS and PTE training to help students improve their language skills and achieve the language levels required to study abroad. Our commitment to quality service has earned us numerous awards, including the University of Canberra’s 2024 Emerging Excellence Award and several prestigious association awards.

What role do your offices in Australia play?

Our offices in Australia are designed to provide ongoing support to students once they arrive in the country. These offices help with the various needs of students adjusting to their new environment, especially for younger students or those studying abroad for the first time. Whether it’s solving personal issues, assisting with accommodation or providing academic advice, our on-site teams are committed to providing students with a positive experience.

Can you tell us about the next Australian Education Roadshow?

The Australian Education Roadshow is an annual event that we have been organising since 2017. This year it will take place on 27th, 28th and 29th September from 12:00 Noon to 5:00 pm in Galle, Kandy and Colombo at key locations such as the Jetwing Lighthouse Hotel in Galle, the Queen’s Hotel in Kandy and the Galadari Hotel in Colombo. More than 30 Australian universities will be involved, offering families one-to-one sessions to learn more about academic programs, scholarships and campus life.

This event offers parents and students a fantastic opportunity to interact directly with university representatives, ask questions and gather important information to plan their educational journey. We expect over 1000 attendees, making it an important event for families looking to have an international education for their children.

The roadshow is a gateway to a better future and opens the way for students to explore the diverse opportunities that global education offers. Register Now! +94 77 844 9993 / +94 11 2 889232 https://www.jeewaeducation.lk/
