Start Your Career Journey at VTA Sri Lanka

There are plenty of opportunities for you to take part in a vocational training course, as the Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka is currently conducting many types of courses in various islandwide centers.

The types of courses are as follows.

Full-time Courses :

The courses are conducted from 8.30 am to 4.15 pm in the week days and the course duration may vary from 3 months to 18 months. The courses are designed as NVQ or NON NVQ courses through island-wide centres in various trades as well.

The Categories of full-time courses are :

  • Automobile Repair and Maintenance

  • Electrical and Electronic and Telecommunication

  • Hotel and Tourism (Cookery/F&B/Room Attendant)

  • Information Communication and Multimedia Technology (ICT)

  • Personal Community Development (Beautician/Hair Stylist/Care Giver)

  • Textile and Garments

Part-time Courses :

The course duration may vary from 1 month to 12 months and are available as NVQ and NON-NVQ courses.

The Categories of part-time courses are :

  • Automobile Repair and Maintenance

  • Electrical and Electronic and Telecommunication

  • Hotel and Tourism (Cookery/F&B/Room Attendant)

  • Information Communication and Multimedia Technology (ICT)

  • Personal Community Development (Beautician/Hair Stylist/Care Giver)

  • Textile and Garments

These are courses for students with special needs.
