
The two-way exchange program, Professional Fellows Program (PFP) for South and Central Asia on Governance and Society is extensively designed to build last-longing partnerships between mid-level rising leaders of ages of 25-40 from countries such as Sri Lanka, Pakistan and the United States.
If you are seeking to fortify your skills and inculcate a deeper understanding on governance and society, this program is ideal for you for they provide you ample opportunities to exchange ideas, strategies, and best practices for four weeks in the United States. The program will feature orientations, seminars, cultural activities, volunteerism, and networking with U.S. peers. After the U.S. program, American Fellows will travel to the region to collaborate on follow-on projects and joint programming.
All of your expenses are covered including international and domestic travel, housing (often shared), ground transportation, cultural activities, and a modest stipend for living expenses. Participants will apply for a J-1 visa and must return to their home countries for at least two years after completing the exchange.
You will be placed with U.S. organizations, giving you the chance to engage with American leaders and professionals to learn about legislative processes and policy-making. You will be able to witness your own power the world needs to drive positive change.
