A special workshop involving principals from 396 national schools was held today at Ananda College, Colombo, after a gap of five years. The event focused on school financial management, infrastructure, and the common challenges identified during the supervision of national schools. The workshop was organized by the National Schools Division, with Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya serving as the chief guest.
During her speech, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to depoliticize the education system, stating that restoring public trust in education is a key responsibility of the government. She further highlighted the importance of education reforms aimed not only at job creation but also at building a value-driven society.
