With AIESEC, Your Journey Abroad can never be Alone

Many people give up on the dream of going abroad, fearing they’ll be alone in a foreign country surrounded by strangers. But once AIESEC has your back, you will never have to worry about feeling lost at the expense of travelling solo.

From the moment of you take your first step into a new to the moment you say goodbye, local AIESECers will be there to welcome you with open arms. They will make sure that you arrive safely at your accommodation, guide you through local travel experiences and help you get set up with essentials like a local SIM card.

During your AIESEC project, you’ll meet volunteers from every corner of the globe, from Brazil to Japan. You’ll share meals, laugh over cultural quirks, and discover just how deeply connected we all are, no matter our language or background. In just a few days, those strangers become your second family.

Many participants describe the experience as finding a “home away from home.” You’ll celebrate birthdays together, explore unfamiliar cities, and tackle challenges that help you grow stronger, braver, and more confident.

Even if you begin this journey solo, you’ll return with lifelong friends and unforgettable stories.

So if the fear of being alone is the only thing holding you back, remember: the world is full of people ready to welcome you.
