
The Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval for the construction of a three-storey building at Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala.
The project, estimated at Rs. 392 million, will be implemented between 2026 and 2028 under the national investment plan for 2026–2030. The new facility is designed to be child-friendly and equipped with modern amenities to enhance the learning environment for primary students.
The building will consist of 24 classrooms, an activity room, and three teacher restrooms, each floor also featuring sanitary facilities.
