First term school holidays : Update from Education Ministry
The Ministry of Education has announced the timeframe for the end of the first phase and commencement of the second phase of the first academic term of Sinhala and Tamil government schools for the year 2024.
According to the Education Ministry, the first phase of the first academic term will conclude on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
The second phase of the first academic term will commence on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
The ministry added that the second phase of the first academic term for Muslim schools will commence on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
