Development officers calling for their recruitment as teachers

The Union of All Ceylon School Development Officers this week began a protest campaign at the Fort Railway Station in Colombo, calling for their recruitment as teachers, considering they have been teaching in rural and estate schools for the previous six years.

The protest was initiated in front of the president’s office last Monday to launch the protest campaign outside the railway station. Teachers from several provinces have been taking turns in the protest. and they stated that they anticipated a solution with the upcoming budget.
