Australasian Academy Hosts Thrilling Inter-Culinary Competition 2025

The culinary scene at Australasian Academy was set ablaze with talent and passion as students showcased their exceptional culinary skills at the highly anticipated Inter-Culinary Competition 2025. Held on the academy premises, the event attracted culinary enthusiasts and industry professionals eager to witness the rise of future gastronomic stars.

Participants were tasked with creating exquisite three-course meals, putting their creativity, technique, and presentation to the ultimate test. The atmosphere was electric as aspiring chefs meticulously crafted and plated dishes that captivated the audience and a distinguished panel of judges.

The competition was overseen by an esteemed group of culinary experts, including Chef Saman Wijerathne from Unilever Sri Lanka, Chef Thushan Fernando from Galadari Hotel Colombo, and Chef Nalina Narampanawa from Upfield Company (Pvt) Ltd. The judges were in awe of the professionalism, precision, and artistry displayed by the competitors.

After an intense evaluation, the winners were announced:

  • Gold Medalist: Fathima Lifna
  • Silver Medalists: Sudhair James, Sanuja Imantha
  • Bronze Medalists: Rikhith Melder, Shehan Theekshana, Janindu Chamood

As the gold medalist, Fathima Lifna will proudly represent Sri Lanka at the Emirates Culinary Event in Dubai 2025, a prestigious international competition that will showcase her culinary talents on a global stage. Additionally, all winners will go on to represent Australasian Academy at the esteemed Chef’s Guild Lanka 2025, further cementing their place in the culinary world.
