
The University of Illinois in the United States of America and the Sri Lanka Institute of Biotechnology Pvt Ltd are about to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The purpose of the proposed agreement is to make it easier for the two schools to collaborate on projects and initiatives in fields like postgraduate student exchange and human resource development.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry has approved the draft Memorandum of Understanding.
The suggestion made by Chrishantha Abeysena, the Minister of Science and Technology, to move forward with signing the agreement has been approved by the Cabinet. (DW)
