Global Pathways Strengthened by Australasian Academy for Hospitality Students

By signing two strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with Mantle Group Hospitality, one of Australia’s biggest and most reputable employers of culinary talent, Australasian Academy (AA), a preeminent institution for professional skills development and higher education, has expanded its footprint worldwide. Australasian Academy Expands Global Pathways for Hospitality Students with Strategic MOUs in Australia.

Some of Australia’s most recognizable hospitality brands, such as Pig ‘N’ Whistle, Babylon, Jimmy’s On The Mall, and others, are run by Mantle Group Hospitality. For AA’s students studying hospitality and commercial cooking, this partnership creates exciting international opportunities that allow them to embark on their studies in Sri Lanka and pursue further education and careers in Australia.

Global Opportunities for Aspiring Hospitality Professionals

The agreements allowed students access numerous opportunities including structured training visas to pursue hands-on industry experience in Australia, further academic progression through Mantle Group’s in-house Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Mayfair College and real-world exposure, industry immersion, and long-term career development. These pathways can lead you to work visas and, ultimately, permanent residency in Australia if you were to meet the required eligibility criteria as well.

Speaking about the partnership, a representative from Australasian Academy shared:

“These agreements are a testament to AA’s mission of delivering globally relevant, values-driven vocational education. By partnering with Mantle Group Hospitality, we are creating life-changing opportunities for our students to gain international exposure, develop their careers, and achieve their ambitions.”

In the presence of Kalum De Silva, Managing Director of the Australasian Academy, Training & Compliance Manager Alison Clare Garner, Organization Development Leader Karl Zielke, and Mantle Group CEO Arj Rupesinghe, the MOUs were formally signed in Brisbane.

Through a longstanding academic cooperation, Australasian Academy continues to offer internationally recognized ANIBT certifications in Sri Lanka.

Building on this framework, the introduction of Mantle Group paths allows students to:

  • Access international industry placements
  • Enhance employability through skill-focused learning
  • Pursue career advancement in Australia’s thriving hospitality sector

In addition to honoring Mantle Group Hospitality for their relationship and trust, Australasian Academy reaffirmed its commitment to helping students take risks and pursue employment abroad.

For Sri Lankan students looking for foreign experience, credentials relevant to the industry, and long-term career paths in the global hospitality sector, this milestone marks a major advancement.
