ACCA and SLASSCOM Partner to Transform the Finance, Accounting, and BPM Sectors in Sri Lanka

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Sri Lanka Association of Software and Services Companies (SLASSCOM) have launched a joint initiative to enhance the Finance, Accounting, and Business Process Management (BPM) sectors in Sri Lanka through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that seeks to leverage the strengths of both organizations to promote the development and professional growth of individuals within these vital industries.

The MOU centers on three primary objectives. First, the partnership will emphasize skills development and training by collaboratively designing and implementing programs, workshops, and seminars to upskill professionals in the Finance and Accounting and BPM sectors. ACCA and SLASSCOM will also work together on research and development initiatives to identify industry trends, challenges, and opportunities, thereby guiding policy decisions and fostering sector growth in Sri Lanka. Furthermore, both organizations will engage in advocacy and thought leadership, championing policies and regulations that support the sustainable growth of the Finance and Accounting and BPM industries.

Commenting on the agreement, Nilusha Ranasinghe, Head of Soth Asia for ACCA , stated, “This MOU marks a significant milestone in our mission to empower professionals in Sri Lanka with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving global environment. Our collaboration with SLASSCOM merges the best of Finance and Accounting and BPM expertise, paving the way for a brighter future for our members and the industries they serve.”
