
AIESEC in University of Kelaniya proudly concluded its highly anticipated the event, Leadership Development Seminar (LDS) 2025, held on 28th September 2025 at Wasana Nature Resort, Kandana. The event brought together over 100 leaders from the University of Kelaniya and IIT University under one roof, inspiring practical experience driven by leadership growth.
LDS 2025 was more than just a conference. It was a remarkable experience for its participants to explore the values and principles of leadership and witness what it truly takes to be a leader through interactive activities, discussions and experiential learning spaces. The seminar emphasized self-awareness, problem-solving and collaboration skills for driving positive change across Sri Lankan communities.


For over two decades, AIESEC in University of Kelaniya has been committed to nurturing student leaders and creating meaningful impact in Sri Lanka’s development. Through transformative volunteer and exchange opportunities, AIESEC has empowered thousands of youth to become confident and purpose-driven leaders of tomorrow.
LDS 2025 promised a day filled by intense learning and networking from thought-provoking keynote addresses to Outward Bound Training (OBT) activities that demanded true teamwork. Participants could also gain the exposure to a powerful blend of renewed motivation, robust professional connections and a clear sense of self-efficacy to confidently pursue challenges and excel in personal and professional success.
Concluding LDS 2025 successfully, the University of Kelaniya reaffirmed its commitment to developing young individuals who are not only talented but also self-motivated and passionate about making a difference. The experiences and insights gained from this event will serve as the driving force behind future leadership initiatives undertaken by its participants.
