Teacher Amma Honours 6,000 Scholarship Stars at Grand Awards Ceremony

A talent appreciation ceremony for students who excelled in the recent scholarship examination, organized by renowned scholarship teacher Mrs. Hayeshika Fernando, was held on the 20th at the Monarch Imperial. The event, organized by Queens Education, marked the fourth edition of the awards ceremony.

Mrs. Hayeshika Fernando is a prominent tuition teacher in Sri Lanka, known for her boundless affection toward her students earning her the affectionate title “Teacher Amma,” given by the children who attend her classes.

This year’s ceremony was conducted in two phases, with the participation of more than 6,000 students who successfully passed the scholarship examination. Each student received an award, a medal, and a certificate. The event was further brightened by the presence of children and parents who engaged in friendly conversations and took photographs with Mrs. Fernando.
