Rashmi Mudalige Brings Glory to Gateway College

Rashmi Mudalige, a standout player from Gateway College Colombo, has once again proven her prowess on the badminton court with a stellar performance at the EPBA All-Island Badminton Championship 2025. Competing against the island’s best, she emerged victorious in two prestigious categories, reinforcing her reputation as one of Sri Lanka’s top badminton talents.

In a gripping final of the Open Women’s Singles category, Mudalige displayed remarkable skill and resilience to overcome Panchali Adhikari in a hard-fought three-set battle. With scores of 21-14, 18-21, and 21-18, she secured the championship title, demonstrating exceptional focus and determination.

Adding to her triumph, Mudalige joined forces with her doubles partner, Varangna Jayawardana, to clinch the Open Women’s Doubles Championship. The dynamic duo delivered a commanding performance, defeating Sithumi De Silva and Isuri Attanayake with a decisive 21-13, 21-14 victory.
