Springfield College held its Annual Staff Workshop on 19^th September at the picturesque Suriya Resort, Waikkal, bringing together members of the Springfield family from its Kandy, Borella and Nugegoda branches for a memorable day of learning, reflection, fun and fellowship.

Themed “Understanding Today’s Learners: From Challenges to Opportunities,” this year’s workshop focused on developing a deeper understanding of the changing needs, behaviours and expectations of today’s learners. The programme encouraged educators to reflect on the challenges faced by young people today while exploring meaningful ways in which schools and teachers can turn these challenges into opportunities for growth, connection and learning.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. VidushaNathavitharana and Ms. ShaakyaNathavitharana of High Five Consultancy & Luminary Learning Solutions. Bringing together professional expertise and contemporary perspectives on learning and development, the facilitators engaged the staff in thought-provoking discussions, interactive activities and practical experiences.

A highlight of the workshop was bringing staff from Springfield Colleges, Kandy, Borella and Nugegodatogether under one collaborative setting. Beyond professional learning, the day provided an opportunity to connect, strengthen relationships and celebrate the spirit of the Springfield family through engaging team-building activities, games, laughter and fellowship.

The day concluded with renewed energy, shared memories and a stronger sense of purpose as the staff returned to their respective schools, inspired to continue creating meaningful learning experiences for the learners entrusted to their care.
