Leads International School Negombo Celebrates 7th Anniversary with the Inaugural Purple Walk

A Journey of Excellence and Global Citizenship

Leads International School Negombo recently celebrated its 7th anniversary with the inaugural Purple Walk, a symbolic event that exemplified the school’s ethos of unity and support. What began with just four students in 2017 has rapidly grown into a prominent institution in Negombo, known for its academic excellence and holistic approach to education.

Leads International School Negombo’s vision is clear: to be “Futuristic and Global in Outlook with Religion and Culture as a Firm Foundation. Academic Excellence with Total Personality Development.” This vision is not just a statement but a guiding principle that has shaped the school’s journey over the past seven years.

The Purple Walk was not just a walk; it was a testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals. It was a celebration of the achievements and milestones reached by the school, both locally and internationally. It was also a moment to reflect on the values that define Leads International School Negombo – kindness, unity, and a global perspective.

Over the years, Leads International School Negombo has not only focused on academic excellence but has also made significant contributions to society. Events such as Teacher Training Programmes, New Year celebrations, Karate practices, Ballet practices, Leedians Christmas Eve, Cooking Demonstrations, Halloween Night, and Food Day have not only inspired students but also parents and the wider community.

One of the most commendable aspects of Leads International School Negombo is its commitment to environmental conservation. The school’s participation in the World Cleanup Day, under the banner “Not all heroes wear caps, some wear gloves and carry a trash bag to the ocean,” showcases its dedication to creating a cleaner and healthier environment for all.

Thilina Diyagama, one of the Directors of Leads International School, expressed his pride in the school’s achievements and its impact on the community. With 15 branches and over 7000 students, Leads International School is a leader in private education in Sri Lanka. Mr. Diyagama highlighted the school’s membership in the International School Association, a testament to its commitment to providing quality education on a global scale.

Leads International School Negombo’s success is not just measured by its academic achievements but also by the personal growth and achievements of its students. Many students have excelled in sports, including karate, swimming, and athletics, with some even representing Sri Lanka at international competitions.

As the school celebrates its 7th anniversary, it looks towards a future filled with promise and success. The dedication of its students, parents, teachers, and staff, coupled with its strong leadership, ensures that Leads International School Negombo will continue to be a beacon of excellence in education for years to come.
