Universal College Lanka Launches Engineering Degree Programmes

Dr. Nishan Dharmaweera, a leading figure in the engineering field and a consultant at UCL, is instrumental in shaping and leading the new programme. With extensive experience and a strong leadership background from one of the leading state-owned universities, Dr. Dharmaweera is poised to help UCL establish a robust and well-connected engineering team.

Mr. Maduranga Pillai has been appointed as the Programme Coordinator, serving as the liaison between the university and the UCL team. With over 50 dedicated educators and industry experts on board across all programmes, UCL is confident in its faculty’s ability to deliver engaging, student-centric instruction.

UCL is committed to ensuring that students acquire the skills required by the industry. The curriculum is meticulously designed to align with industry standards, and industry experts will regularly conduct guest lectures and industrial workshops, providing practical insights into real-world applications of theories and technologies.
