Yonal from Gateway College to Compete at the Commonwealth Chess Championship 2025

Gateway College proudly announces that their student, Yonal Sumanathilaka, has been selected to represent Sri Lanka at the Commonwealth Chess Championship 2025, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 8th to 17th November.

Yonal will compete in the Under-18 Open Category, following an outstanding performance at the Sri Lanka National Youth Chess Championships 2025.

We extend our best wishes to Yonal as he represents both Gateway College and Sri Lanka on this prestigious international stage.
