Walk4Hope 2025: Empowering the Differently-Abled Community Through Awareness and Support

The Walk4Hope event, organized in collaboration with the CFINS Youth Council, Rotaract Club of Colombo Heritage, and Interact Club of Colombo, was successfully held at the Colombo Friend In Need Society (CFINS) to promote awareness and support for the differently-abled community.

The Volunteer Group of the initiative Walk4Hope

As part of the initiative, an awareness campaign was conducted at CFINS, highlighting the challenges and resilience of differently-abled individuals. The event also provided a platform for them to showcase their skills and innovative products, emphasizing their contributions to society. A significant milestone of the event was the donation of three prosthetic legs to three amputees, helping improve their mobility and independence.

The event concluded with an inclusive 3km run and walk, where participants came together to show solidarity and advocate for an inclusive society. By focusing on empowerment, accessibility, and community engagement, Walk4Hope 2025 successfully fostered awareness and championed equal opportunities for the differently-abled community.
