
Applications for the awarding of Postgraduate Master’s Scholarships in numerous fields of study are open for eligible Sri Lankans for the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute Postgraduate Scholarship programme for the academic year 2026.
There are five nominations for Master’s Scholarship programme and the fields of study of the Master’s Degree in Applied Biological Science are Environmental Health, Environmental Toxicology and Chemical Sciences. The deadline for the application is 20th September 2025
(a) All applicants should be citizens of Sri Lanka.
(b) Applicants should be under 30 years of age as of 20th September 2025.
(c) Should possess a 04-year Bachelor’s Degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 in one of
the following fields of study from a recognized university, by the UGC, Sri Lanka.
(d) Must have demonstrated English proficiency, preferably on one of two recognized tests of
language proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS).
(e) Must have experience in scientific laboratory research.
(f) Should be in good health and ready to live in Thailand during the period of study
Subject to an annual evaluation of the scholar’s progress, the scholarship award will cover two years of Master’s degree studies after six weeks of refresher courses. While the academic program will start in August 2026, the refresher courses are expected to start in June 2026. If the recipient does not follow all CGI guidelines or the research does not fulfill the established academic requirements, Chulabhorn Graduate Institute retains the authority to cancel the scholarship.

1. Five (05) Eligible candidates will be selected for nominations based on the academic merit by the Ministry of Education, Higher Education eand Vocational Education – Sri Lanka.
2. The Nomination of selected candidates will be forwarded to the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute scholarship awarding authority. No candidate should treat his/her nomination for this scholarship as the confirmation of the award is a matter entirely within the discretion of the Thailand awarding authority.
3. Any form of canvassing either written or verbal will be considered as a disqualification for a scholarship.
