The following are the English test types and their International University Foundation English Entry Requirement.
1. GCE ‘O’ Level (Cambridge /EdExcel /Sri Lanka) – C
2. GCE ‘A’ Level (Sri Lanka ) – C
3. IELTS – 5.5 with no band less than 5.0
(It is a must for the applicants to demonstrate English language proficiency with IELTS (5.5 overall with no band less than IELTS 5.0 or equivalent.))
4. Pearson Test of English (PTE) – 36 with no score less than 29 (except Nursing).
5. SPM English (1119) – C
6. TOEFL Internet (no band less than 15) – 60
7. Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge C1 Advanced – An overall minimum score of 176 with no individual band less than 169 equates to an IELTS overall of 6.5 (no band less than 6.0)” – results are valid only for 2 years. And this does not apply to Nursing.
Note : English language requirements may vary according to immigration requirements. English requirements may be different in the case of ECU programs.
The International University Foundation in Business Management is carefully designed to prepare students for undergraduate studies in business-related fields. The curriculum combines academic knowledge with essential skills to build a strong base for future learning and career success.
The program spans into two semesters, each focusing on key areas of business, communication, and foundational skills. Students will complete eight core modules—four in each semester—earning 120 credits in total.
A wide variety of business-related jobs can be accessed through the International University Foundation in Business Management. This program prepares students for success in a variety of professional domains by exposing them to the foundations of accounting, marketing, management, and communication. Students who advance to get a bachelor’s degree in business, management, commerce, or a similar discipline open doors in the public and commercial sectors both domestically and internationally.
