
SLIIT, recognized as Sri Lanka’s No. 1 Non-State University, standing 3rd nationwide in Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025, successfully concluded its March 2025 Convocation recently. The three-day event, held from March 18 to 20 at the SLIIT Malabe Campus Main Auditorium, honoured the accomplishments of over 1,200 undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The convocation celebrated the academic achievements of graduates across various disciplines, marking the culmination of their hard work and dedication. In addition to conferring degrees and highlighting the culture of excellence created at SLIIT, the event recognized high-performing students with academic performance awards.

The convocation was graced by several distinguished guests, including Ms. Helena Nimmo, the Chief Information Officer of IFS R&D International; Mr. Adrian Dutch, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) of the University of Bedfordshire and Dr Alison Lui, Associate Dean Global Engagement Faculty of Business and Law of Liverpool John Moores University, UK.

The convocation was a significant milestone for most of the graduates as they transitioned from academic life to professional careers. It also showcased SLIIT’s commitment to providing world-class education and preparing students for the evolving demands of the global job market. Invitees, family members and faculty gathered to celebrate the graduating class of March 2025, creating a memorable atmosphere of pride and accomplishment. As these graduates embark on their professional journeys, they carry with them the knowledge, skills, and values instilled by SLIIT.
