
The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has announced the granting of full scholarships for the one-year weekend Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) programme for eligible officers of the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service (SLEAS) and the Sri Lanka Teacher Educators’ Service (SLTES) under the General Education Modernization Project (GEMP).
Approval for awarding these scholarships has been granted by the Secretary to the Ministry.
Applications are now open for officers who meet the required criteria. Completed applications, prepared according to Annexure 01, must reach the Director (Human Resource Development), Ministry of Education, Isurupaya, Pelawatta, Battaramulla on or before 19 December 2025.
Applicants must also send a clearly scanned copy of the application to the email: Hrd.moefrom2025@gmail.com
The subject of the envelope should clearly state the title of this scholarship programme.

All Additional Secretaries, Provincial Directors of Education, the Commissioner General of Examinations, the Commissioner General of Educational Publications, and the Chief Commissioner of Teacher Education are requested to circulate this notice among eligible officers within their respective institutions and provinces. Completed applications must be forwarded strictly according to the instructions provided.
