Grodno State Medical University (GrSMU), located in Grodno, Belarus, stands among the country’s most prestigious institutions for medical education. Established in 1958, but with roots tracing back to a medical academy founded in 1775, GrSMU is now highly ranked both nationally and internationally.

GrSMU offers a 6-year Doctor of Medicine (MD) programme, taught entirely in English, ideal for international students aiming for a globally recognized medical qualification. Entry Criteria

Direct Entry – Local (Sri-Lankan) Advanced Level or London (Cambridge/Edexcel) Advanced Level

• Subjects – Biology, Chemistry, Physics. (“S / D” garde can only be considered for Physics)

• Grades – CCS (Local AL) / CCD (London AL) or above.

• English Requirement – Credit pass for English in O/Levels or A/Levels.

Note – Students who wish to appear for the ACT16/ERPM in Sri Lanka to obtain the registration on Sri Lanka Medical Council to practice medicine in Sri Lanka should fulfill the Minimum Advanced Level entry criteria (C,C,S for Local A/L Examination and C,C,D for London A/L Examination in the subjects Biology, Chemistry and Physics) stipulated by the Sri Lanka medical Council (SLMC).

IMC Education, based in Sri Lanka, is the official representative and authorized agent of GrSMU, operating both locally in Colombo and near the university in Belarus. They provide a comprehensive support system for Sri Lankan students, from admissions and visa guidance to accommodation, airport pickups, 24-hour welfare services, and ongoing academic and non-academic assistance throughout the six-year course.
