Empowering Future Leaders by Kaduwela Toastmasters Club

Kaduwela Toastmasters Club in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Colombo West, successfully conducted a Youth Leadership Program at Bomiriya Central College, culminatingin agrand closing ceremony on January 25, 2025.

This was a 10-weeks programdesigned to provide students with a platformtodevelop their communication and leadership skills. The initiative wassponsored by the Rotary Club of Colombo West andfacilitated by Kaduwela Toastmasters Club.

Throughout the program, participants engaged in interactive learning sessions, speech presentations, and leadership exercises, enabling them togain confidence, enhance critical thinking, and improve their public speaking abilities. Kaduwela Toastmaster Club Members guided the students through structured modules, helping them overcome stage fear, refine their delivery, and practice effective communication techniques. Through impromptu speeches, prepared speeches, and peer evaluations, students gradually transformed into confident speakers and leaders.

The closing ceremony on January 25th was a celebration of their journey. Students took the stage to showcase their progress, delivering speeches that reflected their personal growth and newfound confidence. Distinguished guests, including representatives from theRotary Club and Toastmasters Club, praised the initiative and emphasized theimportance of strong communication and leadership skills in today’s world.

This collaboration between Kaduwela Toastmasters Club and the Rotary Club of Colombo West is a testament to their shared commitment to empowering young minds. The program not only enhanced the students’ skills but also inspired them to embrace leadership roles in theiracademic and personal lives.

By fostering such initiatives, Kaduwela Toastmasters Club and Rotary Club of Colombo West continue to contribute to shaping the leaders of tomorrow, leaving a lasting impact on the students of Bomiriya Central College.
