Sri Lanka Skills Expo 2025 Showcasing Young Talent and Innovation

The Sri Lanka Skills Expo 2025 was held at the Temple Trees Convention Centre in Colombo, drawing significant public interest from across the country. The two-day event was officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya. Among the attendees were numerous schoolchildren, eager to explore opportunities in vocational and technical career pathways.

Organised by the Tourism Industry Skills Council (TISC) with the support of the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC), the National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA), and several Industry Sector Skills Councils (ISSCs), the expo aimed to bridge the gap between vocational training and industry needs.

The event highlighted the growing recognition of technical and vocational education as a cornerstone of Sri Lanka’s national development. By celebrating young innovation and practical skill development, the Skills Expo serves as a platform to inspire and motivate youth to consider technical education as a rewarding and respected career path.

With its focus on empowering the next generation of skilled professionals, the Sri Lanka Skills Expo 2025 plays a vital role in strengthening the nation’s workforce and enhancing resilience across key sectors essential to the country’s economic growth.
