The D.S. Senanayake College Media Unit will mark the 20th anniversary of its flagship inter-school trilingual media festival “Ninnada” with a special ceremony on November 7 at Temple Trees.
Organised annually by the school’s Media Unit, “Ninnada” has, over the past two decades, become a prominent national platform for discovering and nurturing young media talent. Conducted in Sinhala, Tamil, and English, the festival fosters unity and inclusivity among students while encouraging creative and responsible media engagement.
Over the years, “Ninnada” has played a significant role in inspiring future journalists, broadcasters, and content creators who now contribute to Sri Lanka’s mainstream media.
The 20th anniversary edition will feature competitions, discussions, and workshops covering key areas such as journalism, broadcasting, and digital storytelling, celebrating two decades of excellence in student-led media.
