CMA Sri Lanka launches a Course on Cost Accounting for Professional Effectiveness


for Managers, Entrepreneurs and Accountants

Cost Accounting for Professional Effectiveness is the newest addition to the portfolio of products of the CMA Sri Lanka, the National Professional Management Accounting Institution of Sri Lanka. Designed for the benefit of Managers and Executives (Operations, Marketing, Human Resources, Quality Assurance and Logistics), Entrepreneurs, and Accountants this brand-new programme willenhancetheir understandingof concepts, techniques and practices of Cost Accounting that is imperative for today’s organizational effectiveness.   On completion of the course, the participants will be able to play an active role in developing recurrent and special cost statements as well as confidently take part in decision making situations.

Highly practically oriented, Cost Accounting for Professional Effectiveness is an 18-hour course that is conducted on Saturdays (from 08.30-11.30 am) over six weeks commencing on August 24, 2024. Delivered on-line, the instructors comprise a team of academia and industry experts who will make use of an assortment of adult teaching methods, viz.  interactive sessions, exercises, mini case studies, and videos to enhance the teaching learning process. Comprehensive learning material will also be provided to participants.

The course covers a wide array of themes of relevance. They include Essentials of Cost Accounting; Mastering the Assignment of Costs; Getting the Product Costs Right; Budgeting for Planning Excellence; Navigating with Standard Costing; and Winning with Competitive Pricing & Break-even Strategies.
