The Chinese Ambassador’s Scholarship Programme, organized in collaboration with the China–Sri Lanka Joint Center for Education and Research (CSL-CER), aims to encourage academic excellence and strengthen educational ties between the two countries.

This annual initiative supports both undergraduate and postgraduate students who demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership potential, and commitment to their fields of study. According to the University of Ruhuna, the programme reflects China’s continuous support toward Sri Lanka’s higher education and its role in fostering international cooperation.
