APIIT Law School has achieved a significant milestone with the successful launch of the Second Edition of the APIIT Law Journal (ALJ). The journal, unveiled on December 8, 2023, signifies APIIT’s commitment to advancing legal research and creating a platform for intellectual discourse within the legal community.
The ALJ’s Second Edition comprises articles covering Constitutional Law, Family Law, Labor Law, Commercial Law, and Digital Law contributed by a range of authors, including professors, professionals, lawyers, and students. Notably, during the APIIT graduation ceremony 2023, Dr. Chathura Warnasuriya, Head of Law School, and Aadhilah Mohamed Ramzy, Student Editor, had the honor of providing copies to distinguished individuals, including Professor Annabel Kiernan, Pro Vice-Chancellor Academic, Staffordshire University, UK and Mr. Bernhard Stefan, Managing Director, Nestlé Lanka PLC.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, APIIT Law School hosted a guest webinar on January 8, 2024. Titled “Would Devolving Police Powers To The Provincial Councils Become A Threat To National Security?” the webinar, authored and conducted by Professor A. Sarveswaran and moderated by student Ms. Chamathi Jayawardena, further exemplified APIIT Law School’s commitment to fostering intellectual discourse.
The successful launch of the Second Edition of the ALJ, coupled with the thought-provoking webinar, underscores APIIT Law School’s dedication to intellectual excellence in legal education, creating a dynamic space for scholarly exchange and debate.
