MSU Medical Study Division, also known as “The International Medical School (IMS),” is dedicated to serving the community with the goal of creating doctors and medical scientists attuned to the health requirements of the community. In addition to its primary MBBS program for Medicine and Surgery, IMS provides degree and diploma programs in Medical Sciences at its campuses in Bangalore, India, and Shah Alam, Malaysia. Through its International Medical School (IMS), MSU has created a five-year medical program with three study stages:

Phase 1 & 2 (Year 1 & 2) is delivered through system based modules. They have a focus on basic medical sciences and offer 11 & 10 modules respectively. Phase 3 (Year 3, 4, 5) is delivered through discipline based postings whereas Year 3 introduces you to Basic clinical skills and knowledge. Year 4 will introduce different specialties while Year 5 will concentrate on consolidation of clinical skills and knowledge.

Entry Criteria

• Direct Entry – Local (Sri-Lankan) Advanced Level or London (Cambridge/Edexcel) Advanced Level with BBB, AAC, ABC or above passes for the subjects, Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics.

• Through Foundation – CPU Program (Canadian Pre-University) Program To be completed at IMC Education, Sri-Lanka with 80% for Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics.
