PM Vows Teaching Jobs for Graduate Job Seekers
Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya has pledged to provide teaching positions to graduates.
She addressed representatives from the Graduate Association and All‑Island School Development Association, assuring them that qualified graduates seeking employment will be considered for teaching roles.
The promise comes amid plans to recruit teachers based on actual vacancies, rather than arbitrary appointments, aiming for a more transparent and needs‑based hiring approach.
This move is part of broader efforts to address the ongoing teacher shortage across schools.
