Distance Learning Centre and Australasian Academy Sign MOU to Forge a Strong Regional Partnership in Higher Education

The Distance Learning Centre (DLC) Sri Lanka, is a State Owned Institution known for providing flexible, accessible, and high-quality Professional Education, and Australasian Academy (AA), a leading provider of internationally recognized qualifications in Sri Lanka, signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). As part of the agreement, AA is appointed as a Regional Centre to offer seven cutting-edge Higher Diploma programmes in the fields of Computing, Business, and Psychology, accredited by the DLC. This collaboration marks an important milestone in the evolution of higher education in Sri Lanka and offers new educational opportunities for students looking to pursue careers in rapidly changing industries.

At the signing ceremony, S. Rashath Ahamed, CEO of the Distance Learning Centre, shared his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “This collaboration reflects our commitment to providing students with world-class education and equipping them with the necessary skills to excel in an increasingly globalized environment. By partnering with AA, we are broadening our reach and opening doors for aspiring professionals to access quality education that will drive innovation and economic growth in Sri Lanka.”

The signing event brought together key members from both organizations. From DLC, the occasion was attended by S. Rashath Ahamed, CEO; Dhanushka Dushanthi, Programme Coordinator; and Nayani Kalpage, Finance and Administration Coordinator. From AA, the event was graced by Chathura Kotagama, COO; Sithara Harshani Jayarathne, Assistant Manager of Student Admissions; and Kavindu Sadishka Lekamge, Lead Marketing. Their presence highlighted the importance of the event and underscored the commitment of both parties to the shared vision of educational excellence.
