1st Formations Business Scholarship – Bristol Business School

This scholarship is available to both undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in Bristol Business School.

Award Details

  • Amount : £500 per winner (approximately $750)

  • Number of Awards : Up to 5 bursaries granted each cycle

  • Usage : Funds may be used for course materials, textbooks, and living expenses—not tuition fees or travel

Eligibility Criteria

Who can apply :

  • Students (undergraduate or postgraduate) who either have an offer from—or are currently studying at—a recognized UK or US academic institution

Other conditions :

  • If you’ve already received this scholarship before, you’re not eligible for a second award.

  • Recommendation letters and recent grades must come from your current UK/US institution—not past or foreign institutions (unless it’s an official exchange verified by that institution)

How to apply

  • The applicants should send an email including the following details

  • A 500 word Supporting Statement, explaining one business idea you would like to pursue during or after your studies. This statement should also include the personal circumstances outlining why you need financial support.

  • If you are an incoming student: A copy of your offer letter from your academic institution.

  • If you are a current student: A letter of recommendation from a tutor or course coordinator (include a contact email address or telephone number for your sponsor as well).

  • A note of recent grades/exam results from your current course.

Closing Date for the Application

  • The closing date for applications is 31st January 2026.

  • They will contact and announce the successful candidates by 27th February 2026 and the scholarship will be awarded shortly thereafter.

Your applications will be assessed by

  • The quality of your 500 word Supporting Statement. This statement should explain one business idea you would like to pursue during or after your studies.

  • Your circumstances and need for further financial support, as outlined in your Supporting Statement.

  • The quality of your academic recommendation (if applicable) and grades provided.

Important :

Letters of recommendation from instructors or coordinators of previous courses or from academic institutions abroad are not accepted. A representative of your current course at a US or UK academic institution must write each letter.

Grades or exam results from previous courses are also not accepted. Instead, they must be related to your present course of study at a US or UK academic institution. Exam results and grades from foreign courses will only be accepted if they are validated by the US or UK university and pertain to coursework completed as part of an exchange program for your present course.
