
Horizon College International (HCI) – Malabe and Nugegoda proudly presented Kiddies
Activity Day 2026 at Horizon College Sports Complex recently.
The joyful celebration was organized by the Elementary and Pre-primary sections of HCI.
This exciting event brought together students, parents, and staff for an afternoon filled with
fun, creativity, and energetic performances.
The programme featured a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Dr. Nimeera Weerarathne,
Chairman and Directress Mr. and Mrs. Daranagama followed by a colorful opening
ceremony including the ceremonial lighting of the torch.
In their inspiring speeches, the Chief Guest and Madam Principal, Mrs. Maryanne Hills, both
emphasized the importance of parental support and attentive guidance in nurturing a child’s
overall growth and development. Over 650 young, talented Horizonites from Playgroup,
Nursery, Kindergarten, Year 1, and Year 2 showcased their talents at the Kiddies Activity
Day.



Under the themes Nature, Cartoon Characters, Sweets, and Sea Animals, children from
Playgroup to Year 1 presented a variety of delightful and imaginative activities such as class
races, fun runs, and group performances.


Year 2 students of Nugegoda presented a Percussion Band Performance, while Year 2
students of Malabe presented a vibrant Drill Display. The event also included thrilling relay
races and special events for parents, staff, and prefects, creating an inclusive and engaging
atmosphere for the entire school community.



The programme concluded with prize distributions and a radiant fireworks display marking a
memorable and successful celebration of young talent and teamwork.
