
The Ministry of Education has announced that term examinations will not be held for Grades 6 to 10 during the third school term of the 2025 academic year.
The directive follows a circular issued on December 9, 2025 (Ref: ED/09/12/06/05/01 – 2025), which provided guidelines on the reopening of government schools, government‑approved private schools, and pirivenas.
Reaffirming those instructions, the Ministry has emphasized that schools must refrain from conducting term tests for the specified grades in the current term.
Officials, particularly school principals, have been instructed to ensure strict compliance with the directive. (Newswire)
