
The University of Colombo proudly hosted its Annual Research Symposium at the New Arts Theater Auditorium, under the inspiring theme: “Research for Resilience – Advancing Knowledge in a Changing World.”
As part of this prestigious event, the Senate Awards for Research Excellence were presented to honor the remarkable scholarly achievements of the university’s academic community. Among the distinguished recipients for the year 2024 were Prof. Pathirage Kamal Perera and Dr. Saroja Werakoon from the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, who were recognized in the general category for their outstanding contributions to research.
