The Chevening Alumni Association of Sri Lanka will host an in-person seminar in Batticaloa on September 7, 2025, to guide potential applicants of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship. This initiative aims to provide first-hand advice, resources, and encouragement for individuals aspiring to pursue higher education in the UK.
The seminar, held at Miani Nagar, Thannamunai – Trinco Road, Batticaloa, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, will be conducted in English with explanations in Tamil, ensuring accessibility for the local community.
Participants can gain a clear understanding of what the scholarship offers such as tuition fees, a monthly stipend, visa application assistance, and travel expenses along with practical guidance on the application process. This includes crafting a strong CV, preparing compelling essay responses, and fulfilling the academic and professional requirements.
By sharing the experiences of past Chevening scholars, who have excelled in diverse fields such as law, medicine, filmmaking, data science, entrepreneurship, and public policy, the seminar will emphasize how the scholarship can transform both personal careers and broader communities.
The application deadline is on October 7, 2025 and it is free and open to all, making it an inclusive platform for anyone eager to unlock global opportunities through education.
The seminar serves as a timely opportunity for young Sri Lankans to clarify doubts, receive expert advice, and boost their chances of success.
