The 2025 General Information Technology (GIT) examination for Grade 12 students, which was previously postponed due to adverse weather conditions, will now be held on January 11, 2026.
The revised date was officially announced by the Department of Examinations.
Commissioner General of Examinations A. K. S. Indika Kumari Liyanage said that if students affected by the recent weather disruptions are unable to sit for exams at their designated exam centres, they must inform their school principals.
School principals in turn have to inform the details of disaster-affected exam candidates to their Zonal Education Director and the Commission General of Exams.
