The Academy of Finance (AOF), Sri Lanka’s premier institution for professional financial education, proudly announces its 15th anniversary. The institute was established in 2008 with the vision to train and enrich non-finance professionals to become finance-savvy and to provide higher qualifications and development opportunities for finance professionals and has been dedicated to transforming the landscape of finance education in Sri Lanka ever since.

AOF began with a prestigious partnership with the Institute of Certified Management Accountants – Australia (ICMA) in 2009 and since then, the institute has continuously forged important partnerships with reputed global professional bodies, including the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA – USA) and the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI – UK).

Reflecting on this milestone, Mr. Kapila Dodamgoda, Founder/Managing Director, Academy of Finance, stated, “It has been an incredible journey. Our commitment to excellence and our unwavering dedication to our students have been the cornerstones of our success. We are proud to have contributed to the professional growth of thousands of individuals, helping them achieve their career aspirations and become leaders in their fields.”

As the accredited partner for four 4 global professional bodies, AOF has been offering over 16 top-tier programs to Sri Lankan management professionals for the past 15 years, grooming well over 5,000 business professionals, corporate leaders, academics, and senior government officials. Quantum Leap Training, the sister company of AOF, is a reputed leader in providing a range of in-house training in finance and accounting as well as personal financial management.

Tracy Vegro OBE, Chief Executive, Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, commented, “The Academy of Finance has been a most valued partner of the CISI for over 12 years, enhancing the career prospects of many professionals in both Sri Lanka and important regions such as the UAE. We look forward to further engagement, enabling Sri Lanka to meet its aspiration to transform into a leading financial centre.”

Prof. Brendan O’Connell, President, ICMA Australia & New Zealand, added, “AOF has been CMA Australia’s exclusive partner in Sri Lanka for the past 15 years as one of our most successful Regional Offices. Due to their exceptional standards of academic delivery, AOF is now authorized as a Global Provider of GMA conversion program across the world. We look forward to continuing our active engagement with the Academy of Finance as we have for 15 long years.”

“Our valued partner AOF has significantly advanced the careers of many Internal Audit professionals by providing IIA certification tuition and promoting IIA membership for years. As AOF celebrates this milestone, our shared dream of making Sri Lanka a regional hub for the Internal Audit profession is also taking a significant step ahead.” Said Mr. Numair Cassim, President, IIA Sri Lanka.

The Academy of Finance’s 15th anniversary marks not just a celebration of the past but a commitment to the future. With an unwavering dedication to providing top-notch professional education, AOF continues to pave the way for the next generation of finance professionals, ensuring that Sri Lanka remains a hub of financial expertise and leadership.
