The 2025 programme to distribute sanitary pads to schoolgirls in Sri Lanka will be implemented exclusively through four commercial entities, the Education Ministry said.
These companies have been registered with the Sri Lanka Standards Institution and certified under SLS 1732:2022, the Ministry said.
These approved entities will directly deliver sanitary pad packets to schools. No other organization is authorized to supply sanitary pads under this initiative, the statement said.
