The “Study in Malaysia Education Fair 2025” was ceremonially inaugurated on 20 December 2025 with the distinguished presence of the Counsellor of the High Commission of Malaysia, marking an important milestone in strengthening educational cooperation between Malaysia and Sri Lanka.
The event was co-organised by Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) and the Sri Lanka Malay Association (SLMA), bringing together leading Malaysian universities, education representatives, students, and parents under one roof. The fair served as a valuable platform for aspiring Sri Lankan students to explore higher education opportunities in Malaysia, gain direct guidance from university officials, and receive insights into academic pathways, scholarships, and student life.
The presence of the Counsellor of the High Commission underscored Malaysia’s commitment to fostering international education partnerships and promoting Malaysia as a preferred destination for quality, globally recognised higher education. The opening ceremony highlighted the growing demand among Sri Lankan students for internationally benchmarked academic programmes and career-oriented study options.
Through informative sessions, one-to-one consultations, and institutional showcases, the Study in Malaysia Education Fair 2025 successfully created meaningful connections between students and Malaysian higher education institutions, paving the way for enhanced academic mobility and future collaborations between the two nations.
