The International Study Centre (ISC), the leading Sri Lankan organisation dedicated to international education, recently celebrated the academic excellence and hard work of its graduating cohort of students at a grand Graduation Ceremony held at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel. The event, which took place on 3rd August 2024, was a testament to the dedication and perseverance of ISC students, faculty, and staff. The ceremony featured inspiring keynote speeches by prominent figures from the education sector and beyond.

His Excellency Mr. Eric Walsh, High Commissioner for Canada in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, graced the event as the Chief Guest. His presence underscored the international recognition of ISC’s commitment to educational excellence. Thereafter, Dr. Harry Prasad, Director of the International Study Centre, delivered an insightful speech on behalf of the management. A SLMC Registered Medical Practitioner. He is also the official representative for the Belarusian State Medical University in Sri Lanka and the Sri Lankan President for the International Graduates’ Association – Belarus. Furthermore, Ms. Chashitha Ashanthi, the Principal of the International Study Centre and a Lecturer at the National Eye Hospital, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks. Other notable personalities who participated in the successful graduation ceremony included Mr. Abdul Majeed Kaiyoom, Senior Trade Officer at the High Commission of Canada in Sri Lanka and the Maldives; Ms. Induja Pushpanathan, Director/Chief Operating Officer of the International Study Centre; and Ms. Shanali De Silva, Director/General Manager of the International Study Centre.

The event also showcased the talents and experiences of the students, as they shared their journeys at ISC Education. An Annual Belarusian Graduates’ Association Cricket Match is slated for 10th August 2024, from 9 am onwards, at the SLLDC Cricket Ground, Kotte, which will be played between current students, doctors, faculty and alumni for a day of sporting fun to promote physical well-being and teamwork among students. The day will culminate in the Annual Belarusian Graduates’ Association Annual Get-together on the evening of 10^th August, from 7 pm onwards, at the Jubilee Ballroom, the Galle Face Hotel.
