Sri Lankan Students Shine at APICTA Awards 2025 in Taiwan, Supported by ESOFT

Sri Lanka recorded a proud moment on the international stage at the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards 2025 in Taiwan, with several young innovators earning top honours. ESOFT, the country’s largest provider of British Transnational Education, served as the Main Sponsor for the national delegation, reinforcing its commitment to advancing the nation’s innovation and education landscape.

This year’s ceremony marked a significant milestone as Sri Lankan students received recognition from Taiwan’s Vice President, Hsiao Bi-khim, underscoring the growing strength of the country’s emerging ICT talent. Their achievements highlight Sri Lanka’s expanding capability in the digital sector and its rising influence in the Asia–Pacific innovation ecosystem.

Senior Category – Merit Winners
Team HELIX – Nalanda College; Thewnitha Piyadasa, Aryan Senaratne and Lithum Ekenayake Their collaborative project positioned Sri Lanka among the distinguished teams in the region.

People’s Choice Award – Senior Student Category
Thewnitha Piyadasa – Nalanda College; Honoured for a project that resonated strongly with the international audience.
