
Deputy Minister of Education Madhura Senevirathna has announced that it has been decided to close all schools on the island until further notice.
The Deputy Minister further said that higher education institutions, including universities, will remain closed until December 08.
He added that the reopening date will be announced soon.
The decision has been taken in the backdrop of the disaster faced by Sri Lanka in the aftermath of Cyclone Ditwah.
